Team Work is the Key for Xplosion U13

The Xplosion U13 team took 2 out of 4 games at Who's Got Game Tournament this past weekend. Great victories over the Staten Island Rebels and New York Exodus. A 45-43 victory over the Rebels as Taylor Butigan chipped in 17 points and Kristen Drogsler added 9. On Sunday after a tough 45-42 loss to the Knicks came back to defeat Exodus  51-42. Jill Conroy led the way with 12 points, as Taylor Butigan added 10, Sam Doka 7, Kerry Mackey and Kristen Barani each with 6.

NY Xplosion Battle at Seton Hall

The Xplosion 13u team took 2 out of 4 games this past weekend at the Hoop Group event played at Seton Hall University. A victory over the Douglas Panther's on Saturday was the highlight of the day. Kristen Drogsler led the team with 19 points and Taylor Butigian scored 18. Final  score Xplosion 62 Douglas 42. Eight other Xplosion players added to the scoring.

In the final game of the weekend the Xplosion defeated the New Jersey Sparks 41-39. The Xplosion outscored their opponents 23-13 in the second half. Taylor Butigian led all scorers with 17 until turning an ankle late in the game. The combination of Jill Conroy, Kristen Drogsler, Samantha Doka, Kerry Mackey, and Jackie Kennedy controlled the last 3 minutes to hold on for the win.

NYX 13 U goes 4-0 in Long Island Lightning Tournament!!!

What a great weekend for the NYX 13 U at the Long Island Lightning Tournament. 4-0 to start the spring season.
Outstanding Team Effort!  The team held our opponents to 26 points per game. 
A short Recap:
Game #1 36-22 win over the Long Island Lightning (Flynn). Kristen Drogsler led the way with 10 points while Jill Conroy and Jackie Kennedy added 6 each.
Game #2 47-35 win over the Connecticut Breeze. Jill Conroy and Taylor Butigian scored 14 each while Kristen Drogsler and Jackie Kennedy added 7.
Game #3 37-28 win over the Long Island Lightning (Slater). Taylor Butigian had 11, Jill Conroy and Kristen Drogsler added 8 each.
Game #4 32-20 early morning win over the Lady Knicks Silver. Taylor Butigian led the way with 14 while Jackie Kennedy added 8.
